hi I am trying to change the mode to mask in the brush tool in cs2 don't know how? my teacher doing it in photoshop elements 4.0 ,and he has different brush tool set. so how can i mask in cs2 pls help ...thanx

the answer is already given. the shotcut is 'Q' key (toggle) for Quick mask and standard mode.

Hi
There is a button in the toolbar icon bar, that says "Edit in Quick mask Mode" it is a rectangle with a circumference in the middle, click this button
If you check the Channels Window, you will now have a new layer besides RGB called Quick Mask
at this point just choose your brush, start brushing, and then you can click Control + Quick mask Layer, and it will be selected
