On photoshop CS3 extended why is it when i take an image , cut a piece out from it put it onto a transparent layer save it and then put it onto photobucket and onto my website that there is a white border around it??? it wasnt even on a white backround when i cut it out!

When you save the file, instead of a jpeg or photoshop file, use the drop down menu to select the .GIF file, and make sure transparency is on.
