i just installed photoshop elements on my new macbook and none of the menus at the top will work. i cant use the filter or enhance or any of those menus. i cant open images either. everything is shaded gray.
to open an image i can use the little open file icon underneath the menu but then i cant get pictures from iphoto, in order to get a picture i had to go into iphoto drag it to the desktop and open it from there. so i can get my images but i cant do anything with them.
if you know how to solve either problems please please please help me.

do you have enough ram on your computer to run it? im sure you do, but i would try to reinstall and upgrade it from the website
