Photoshop brushes in other programs...?

Is there anyway to use photoshop brushes in Fireworks CS3 or Painter X? Or is there brushes available for download for either of those programs??

For what i know, Photoshop brushes are meant for use in Photoshop only as brushes for different applications are of different file type/makeup.
