Photoshop- How to you type on a path?

Im using photoshop 7.0 i made a path with the pen tool how do i type on that path? So i can have of design rather than the text just going str8 across. Is there a different way to do this? I went to layer-%26gt;type-%26gt; create path from text something like that but its greyed out. PLease help lol

first you have to create a path, then you pick the type tool and see the settings, there should be a way to aligh it on a path i think.



If there isn't you can type in the text and then warp it. I used to do it in photoshop 5.

I don't think it's possible in Photoshop 7.0 either.



If you have InDesign 2.0 or higher you can drop Photoshop pictures right in the file. So use the type on path feature in InDesign on a separate layer.



Actually you can drop the picture into Illustrator as a Bitmap and then use the type on path feature in Illustrator too!



There must be several ways to do it between several programs... Get to know as many programs as possible so that all of this becomes second nature. I know you can figure it out!
i don't think you can in 7.0
You have to merge the text layer and path before applying that feature.
