Photoshop software question?

I have photoshop 7.0 how far outdated am I? Also will it work with Vista? Should I look to upgrade?

It is really outdated.... As the previous answer stated we are on CS 3 now which is the equivalent to 10... It should work with vista but I would look into buying CS3 as it has many new tools such as the quick select tool (in lieu of magic wand tool) that is much easier to use

I have CS 2 and CS 3 an usually work in CS 3 as it takes only 1/.2 the time to create as it did with CS 2..... major leaps with adobe on each upgrade...

As Ryan said we are currently at version 10.0 = CS3. I highly recommend upgrading to at least CS2. There are many advances to the program since version 7.0 which would make using the program easier and faster.

Adobe offers a student discount price IF you can verify your a student (by sending a fax of your student ID card - both sides - along with proof of a course which necessitates the need for the program). otherwise The Adobe site offers a trial download of the program which will run for a month before needing activation to continue use.
