Photoshop question plz help!?ariel

There are lots of tutorials on the Web for Photoshop, there are even podcasts. Just do a search on Yahoo or Google for "free Photoshop tutorials" or related words, such as "face touchups in Photoshop."

You may also want to invest in a couple of basic books on using Photoshop, such as Photoshop for Dummies or the Visual QuickStart books. And there's always Adobe Photoshop Classroom in a Book.

Definitely you want to learn some of the important stuff like using layers and layer masks, how filters work, what kind of correction/adjustments you should apply and so on. The books will help. So will the tutorials, but understanding how things work and what features to use is necessary to get the most out of the other help that's out there.

Here's one very important piece of advice because it will save you a lot of grief. Anytime you open a file in Photoshop to work on it, before you start, make a copy. Go to File%26gt;Save As, rename your file (it can be as simple a rename as adding 1 after the current name, or Rev1, I like using that, it tells me right away I am working on the first revision of the file.) In the file type drop down menu, select Photoshop as your file type. Do this because it's the native file format for Photoshop and means you have access to everything in Photoshop. When you complete something that you then might want to upload, say to MySpace or whatever, you can always do another File%26gt;Save As and select .jpg (JPEG) for the file type. By doing a Save As before you start working, you are keeping your original file untouched, so you can always go back to it and start over, or do something new, or whatever.

Good luck, and have fun.
